You can drive to Shimoni and negotiate directly for a boat. However, you must still pay the park entry fee and rent your own snorkeling gear.

We were picked up from our hotel at the specified time and driven to the Kisite Mpungut Marine reserve. We were lucky as we only had 5 people on our boat. The captin was very knowledgeable about the area. The highlight of the trip, seeing the dolphins!! I then went snorkelling and seen loads of fish and a turtle! The Ksite Island sand bank appeared and it looked amazing! If you get the chance do this trip
I'm greatful for this time. The trip to Wasini was really nice and I enjoyed it so much that the dinner at the restaurant is fresh and delicious. I saw a lot of fish, as well as dolphins. A brilliant experience, great to learn about the reef and see it coming back to life. Watching a pod of dolphins swim past us in the water was one of the best experiences of my life! The crew were mindful about respecting the natural habits of the dolphins at the same time as giving us the experience. The lunch was a fab experience and also delicious! Thank you.
